Qualifications

Currently enrolled in a college or university program with a focus on music, arts administration, or related fields.

Strong interest in and passion for music education and the arts.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.

Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize workload in a fast-paced environment.

Flexibility and willingness to work irregular hours, including weekends and evenings, as required.

Ability to work remote and with minimal day-to-day supervision
Responsibilities

Support Wild Prairie Winds staff in planning and executing events and performances, including concerts, recitals, and educational programs.

Assist with research and analysis on music education policies and practices, as well as trends in arts advocacy and outreach.

Help develop and implement educational programs for local schools and community groups, promoting music appreciation and education.

Maintain accurate records and documentation of Wild Prairie Winds activities and events.

Provide general administrative support to Wild Prairie Winds staff, including scheduling, correspondence, and other tasks as assigned.
The intern will be part of our Lakeside Laboratory Residency in Lake Okoboji, Iowa, from June 3-9. Housing and meals will be provided. The intern can expect to complete 100 internship hours in this position.
